Sunflower

Native to the USA, sunflowers provide a wealth of benefits. Sunflower oil is reputed for its skin benefits. Used to help enrich the skin thanks to its high nutrient content, moisturise the skin due to its emollient properties, and sooth the skin owing to the presence of oleic acid, sunflower oil is a skincare godsend.

At anatomē, we use sunflower oil in many of our skincare products due to its excellent performance as a carrier oil. It is non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog pores and is highly absorbent, making it perfect for our Muscle Ease Body + Massage Oil.

High in vitamin E, sunflower seed oil is thought to help reduce the effects of UV and aid the skin’s recovery after UV damage. Due to its high Vitamin E content, it helps to reduce the premature formation of lines and other signs of aging. We use it in skincare products like our Face Cleanser Balm, AM & PM Moisturiser.

Sunflower oil also benefits the skin by helping it to retain its moisture without clogging the pores, making it ideal for our Nourishing Hand + Body Moisturiser.
