Tell us your story - what sparked you to pursue a career in table design?

Most of my favorite memories are those surrounded by loved ones around a dinner table. Christmas and Thanksgiving are always celebrated around a table filled with food, wine and lots of laughter. The table is always beautifully set, usually by my mother. It is always elegant yet understated. I saw how she was able to simply - with beautiful linens, flowers and the right lighting, to create the perfect canvas for a memorable meal.

What is your London? What is it about?

My London is freedom and diversity. I have firmly said for several years that London is the best city in the world.

How do you find balance, and what keeps you inspired?

Balance can sometimes be difficult to find. Nonetheless, what inspires me is the ability and potential to grow The Sette. To be able to communicate its values to people.

What do you do to motivate yourself, or to switch up energy throughout the day?

I always make sure to make time for the gym. I find it helps with both my mental and physical health. If I need an energy boost throughout the day, either a workout or a walk through regents park always seems to do the trick.

How do you define wellbeing?

Well-structured work-life balance.

Having the ability to find time to grow spiritually, and mentally while pursuing career accomplishments.

Any tips for bringing vibrancy to the kitchen table to lift the mood?

Flowers always make a big difference in mood. Personally all it takes to lift my mood are a bouquet of beautiful flowers.

What are some small habits you practice that make a big difference?

I also always make time to read before bed. I find it helps clear my mind and get better sleep.

What’s your life’s philosophy or mantra?

Be kind

Sleep can greatly affect our mood and stress levels.
What’s your ideal winding down routine to find peace and calm?

Calming tea such as chamomile and then reading before bed usually helps. I also try to meditate and journal.

Sustainability is a key focus for you, how do you champion this?

We make sure our products are made with the highest quality raw materials as well as being OETKO-TEC certified. We have recently changed our packaging to reusable fabric packaging. We are committed to being as environmentally friendly as possible.

Are there any tableware essentials that you should be in everyone's cupboard?

Linens that can easily be mixed and matched to create different looks. Pieces that can easily be adapted to different occasions are a must and makes it easy to set the table. Small bud vases with flowers and immediately elevate a table.

Something you’re looking forward to?

Looking forward to the holidays and spending some quality time with my family during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner.

Festive edit

What is your go-to feel-good song?

Always love Mariah during the holidays. “All I want for Christmas” is usually on repeat at my house.

A party isn’t complete without…

Music and drinks!

What will your Christmas table display look like this year?

We will be using our Holly & Mistletoe linens. Im so excited as this is a unique design for The Sette and I really think it embodies the Holiday spirit.

Any simple table scaping tips for this festive season?

Use seasonal flowers and arrangements combined with our Holly & Mistletoe napkins. It will immediately create a festive atmosphere.

What are your go to Christmas table items?
Crackers! I did not grow up with these, and since moving to London they have been a staple at every Christmas dinner. My family is obsessed with them, so I make sure to bring some back every year.

Any festive table designs that really stick out in your memory?
Last year we used the Turner Pocock x The Sette Stripe Tablecloth and it was so special. It really set the festive mood.
