Article: Neroli

Neroli - anatomē

Neroli

Also known as Orange Blossom Oil, Neroli oil is extracted from the flowers of bitter orange trees. Its rich, floral scent with citrusy overtones makes it appeal ingredient for many essential oil blends, but its calming and stress-reducing qualities make Neroli a key botanical for many aromatherapy oils.

At anatomē, we use Neroli oil in our essential oil blends thanks to its soothing properties and ability to aid with breathing. In our Balance + Stability Essential Oil Blend, Neroli helps to reduce levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) and support calm, reduced anxiety, and a more balanced frame of mind.

Neroli oil is also used in our Support + Protection range of essential oil blends and cleaners, thanks to its high limonene content. Limonene is believed to have a positive effect on the autonomic nervous system, which controls breathing and heartbeat, helping to relieve symptoms of colds or flu and calming a racing mind.
